Micro Needling & Tensage®
What is Micro Needling?
An increasingly popular technique to improve your skin in a natural, non-surgical way, micro needling is based off of your skin’s ability to heal itself when it is cut. Multiple small, sterile needles on a handheld tool are feathered lightly against the skin of treated areas, stimulating the body’s natural healing process to build fresh, new skin. Most patients report little to no pain during micro-needling, and a topical anesthetic may be used to minimize discomfort. The tool is then moved slowly along the skin of treated areas, creating microscopic cuts that typically close within an hour. Our treatment providers are highly trained in micro-needling, ensuring safety and accuracy.
Each session takes 30-60 minutes depending on the condition of the skin and the area being treated. The resulting skin is firmer, smoother and younger-looking in appearance and texture. Full results are generally visible after 6-8 weeks and may further improve over time. Multiple sessions may be suggested in order to maintain results over time.
