Elite Vlog - Jeuveau

Elite Jeuveau Blog/Vlog 6.2023

You can’t go back once you get rid of wrinkles and frown lines with injectables. You can’t unsee them when they start showing back up. Unfortunately, it’d been a while for me, and my face looked like a Shar Pei puppy. Injectables can also help with what’s called a “gummy smile,” which reappeared for me. It was time to head to Elite Medical Skin & Laser Center so I could “love the skin I’m in” once again!

I love Jeuveau versus Botox as results set in faster, and the price point is slightly less. Botox will take up to 14 days to reach maximum results, whereas Jeuveau will hit those results in up to 5 days. At Elite, Botox varies from $11-$13.50 per unit, and Jeuveau varies from $10-$12.50 per unit. The pricing variation depends on if you are part of the Elite Membership program. (psst—go for Membership). With that said, all signs point to Jeuveau for me!

How many Jeuveau units will it take?

Every person is different depending on desired results. Nurse Kristi will determine how many units you need for your desired results during your consultation. To rid of frown lines on my forehead and between my eyebrows, we used 15 units in my forehead and 16 units between my eyebrows (glabella). We also used two units on both sides of my nose and upper lip for my gummy smile. In total, I had 35 units.

Do Jeuveau injections hurt?

Each injection feels like a small prick, but it isn’t the most painful feeling. Just thinking of the upcoming results will get your mind off of any small amount of pain! The gummy smile injections were more painful than the rest, but even those are over quickly and still worth the results.

What does aftercare look like?

Nurse Kristi will tell you that the most important part of your aftercare is to avoid rigorous activities, sweating, heat and sun exposure, and alcoholic beverages for the first 24 hours after treatment. You’ll also need to steer clear of applying pressure to your face while you are healing. So, if you are a tummy sleeper, you’ll have to spend that first night on your back. It’s also recommended to wait 12 hours before applying makeup.

That’s it! You’ll begin to see excellent results on days 3-5, and they typically last an average of three months, depending on how your body metabolizes the formula (same as Botox). Beware—you’ll get hooked on that fresh, wrinkle-free face staring back at you in the mirror!
